Availability

Both settings are full.

The list is for future years. We would rather tell you that on the first line than let you read four pages first.

The Willows

Full. Registered for 77 children, two to six years.

The Nursery

Full. Registered for 25 children, full day care.

After-school

[VERIFY whether afternoon places are open, and how a place is held]

How the list works

[VERIFY how the list actually works today: who holds it, how long it is, and what decides priority.] What we can say is that the list is the way in, so joining it early matters more than anything else on this page.

What we ask for

Your child's year of birth and roughly when you would like to start. We do not ask for a child's name on the website.

What you get back

An honest answer about where things stand, from Aishling or Sharon, rather than a place on a list you never hear about again.

The basics

Everything else on one screen.

Where we are

Newtown, Abbeyknockmoy, Tuam, Co. Galway. The Nursery is at 28 The Granary, Abbeyknockmoy. [VERIFY Eircodes]

Hours

Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.30pm. [VERIFY hours]

Term dates and closures

[VERIFY term dates, holiday closures and how many weeks a year each service runs]

Weather policy

Out in all of it. On the rare day when being out is genuinely unsafe, there is warm indoor space and the day carries on.

Settling in

[VERIFY the settling-in process: how many visits, over how long, and whether a parent stays.]

Food

[VERIFY what meals and snacks are provided, what a child brings, and how allergies are handled.]

Registrations

Tusla Early Years Register, TU2015GY198 and TU2015GY199.

Phone

Two numbers appear on the Tusla register, one against each service. Both are on the contact page. [VERIFY which one families should ring]

Anything marked above is genuinely still open rather than hidden. Ask us and you will get the real answer.

For families

Ask us anything.

Family enquiries go to Aishling and Sharon, and they are read by somebody who works here.
